Westgate is also home to the NFL's Arizona Cardinals and University of Phoenix Stadium as well as the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes and Gila River Arena. Westgate brings year round sporting events and top notch entertainment to Glendale residents.
Another top destination is Historic Downtown Glendale which brings an old world charm to the city. This area consists of two neighborhoods, Caitlin Court (white picket fences and mature trees) and Old Towne (brick rimmed sidewalks and famous antique stores). Also in the area is Murphy Park where many of the city's special events are held including, Glendale Glitters, Summer Band Concerts, Jazz & Blues Festival and the Chocolate Affaire. This neighborhood park is 2.5 acres with the Velma Teague Branch Library nestled in the middle.
